These rules are universal and subject to change. Please check back often to ensure you're caught up to speed. Moderators and above will be enforcing these rules to the best of their ability. Please message me personally if you wish to protest a ruling against you and only you. I will not concern myself with your protests for other people.

Drama:
Lets be realistic. In a storyline there is a problem, a build up, a climax, a proposed solution and the application of said solution. That is and will always be apart of RP. That in mind, allow me to take a moment to discuss the difference between good, and bad, drama.

Within the community there is an understanding of what is accepted and what is not. As a representative of this group, you are going to be held to a standard that everyone should be able to meet, and we wish to uphold.

"Leet Speak", Grammar and Spelling
People judge a room based off of it's members. If you are the only member they see, they will judge the entire room off of you. Because of this, and for our own sanity, we ask that you try to use proper grammar and spelling. I'm not perfect. I'll misspell things, I'll leave out commas or put too many in. However; you know to capitalize at the beginning of a sentence, and to put punctuation at the end. It's spelled "you" not "u" and "are" not "r". These are not things that are hard to figure out or accept. OOCly, speak how you want. In RP, please remember those key things. Could not using capitals and punctuation on your introduction lead to some rooms banning you? Absolutely. Don't be a lazy typer if you're going to write an improv story. After all, that's what RP is. A story.

Drama:
Lets be realistic. In a storyline there is a problem, a build up, a climax, a proposed solution and the application of said solution. That is and will always be apart of RP. That in mind, allow me to take a moment to discuss the difference between good, and bad, drama.
GOOD
- Do - Create a functional storyline with one or more characters from the forums involved. Have workable problems that OOC are agreed upon, discussed, and then played out. Make it fun, have fun, and above all else do not take the conflict personal OOC.
- Do - Create controversial characters that pose an interesting story arch just by being them. Storylines do not exist where everything is always perfect, happy, and rainbows.
BAD
- Do not - Ask an admin, or even me, to babysit your OOC issues. If you have a problem with someone, be an adult and work it out with them. If a mediator is needed, ask politely for an officer or myself to help. This isn't highschool, and I wont put up with it.
- Do not - Take IC drama, dislikes, or even your characters dieing hatred, out of character. There is a line there. This is a play and we're all actors in IMVU. The characters you RP with are not a mirror image of the people who play them. Be respectful and judge the character, not the person.
- Do not - FORCE uncomfortable situations on someone. If you intend to torture, maim, or otherwise alter someone's character be it physically or mentally, ask them OOC in private messages first. There is a person behind that screen and they have limitations. Respect them.
Role Play Etiquette
Within the community there is an understanding of what is accepted and what is not. As a representative of this group, you are going to be held to a standard that everyone should be able to meet, and we wish to uphold.
Death
- If you accept a death, do NOT allow a priest who happens to be nearby to wave their light driven hand and have you walking around within five minutes. Realize that if you are killed... you must accept such with the risk that you may not be resurected, ever. You aren't Jesus and your father isn't the creator.
- IF you die and wish to be brought back, then let the person know whom is killing you so they will not disembodie you character, burn them, or in any other form prevent such.
Examples of how someone can be ressurected:
- Vampires - If your death is caused by a vampire, then you'll still be dead you'll just be a walking corpse that lusts after blood. So technically you could be considered "alive" or re-risen.
- Approval must be given from a high-ranking official of your chosen religion. High Priest, Paladin, the Loa (If you follow Voodoo) etc. This does not mean you walked up to the "alter" and said "Can I has res now?" and poof you're alive. This is a long, drawn out process that should be made and should take NO LESS than a week... and no more than a month as by this time your body will be impossible to preserve.
- After you have gotten approval, a large price must be paid. Hard to find diamonds, the heads of a million hobbits. Your youngest daughter, three virgin slaves, and a castle. Something worth value.
- You must account for the days you were dead. Your body will be weak, your health will be critical still, your mind will be affected and you will need recovery time.
- Death isn't fun, so be creative and find ways to avoid it.
Fighting
- Logic. Logic. Logic. If you have multiple people attacking you, and all of their hits miss, don't be surprised when someone calls God Mode. I'll back them. Two may miss, depending upon your abilities and current actions, but a third will most defiantly hit. Take it, and have that hit affect you for the appropriate ammount of time.
- If you get yourself into a battle, have an escape route always. You're not going to win. No one, will ever win. Someone, with less skill than you and horrible ethics, will show up and god mode you. Be the bigger role player and escape.
- Know your body, know your abilities, know the arguments against them. If you want your character to be immune to poisons (giving my own character as an example) then you need to put in their daily practices that they participate in immunity training. Example, my character is immune to most, not all, but most poisons. She has been ingesting them daily, injecting them daily, and slowly working her body up to a level of immunity. I have rules for how much it takes to affect her in place before I'm ever in a fight. These rules help me to determine how far along her training is in a respectable manner.
- If you get yourself into a fight, know how to counter-attack. If someone chokes you for instance, push into their thumb. It will cause pressure on your throat but also on their thumb, pushing it back until they're forced to release. Account for the loss of breath, potential dizzyness, but by all means take this opportunity to escape.
